In order to confirm your appointment at Avita, we require a credit card to be added to your account in order to book this appointment. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy if you need to cancel your appointment and do not want to be charged. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the appointment. Note: For security reasons, your credit card number is saved as a token.

At Avita Health and Massage Therapy Clinic in North Vancouver, we take pride in delivering premium care at competitive prices. If you have an extended health plan, you may also receive partial coverage for your treatment. We direct bill most extended health plans.

Direct Billing

Avita Health & Massage is able to directly bill to most extended health plans of our clients. Please see the list below, and if any of these apply to you please let us know when you book your appointment. By supplying us the policy and ID number we can set up a direct billing account for you. If there is an amount that your plan does not cover, you simply pay the difference at the time of the appointment and the plan will send us the remainder by cheque.

Please note:

  1. We are not able to determine when you have maxed out your individual benefits, so please be sure to stay on top of this by contacting your Extended Health Provider directly for this information. Thank you.
  2. Exception to direct billing. In the case of Orthotics, we are, unfortunately, not able to direct bill. The client must pay up front and submit to their extended plan for reimbursement. Thank you.

How do I determine my extended healthcare benefits coverage?

  • Review your benefits package through your employer
  • Contact your extended healthcare company or visit their website
  • Talk to your human resources (HR) or extended health plan administrator

Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is important to us, and is reserved for you. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you are unable to provide this notice, we will charge you in full for the missed appointment if we are unable to fill the spot. Please call the clinic to cancel an appointment.

ICBC Patients Rates

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident you are automatically approved for treatment within 12 weeks from the date of your accident, or up to 25 treatments for physio/chiro or 12 treatments for massage, whichever is used up first. You do not require a Doctors note within the 12 week period. Treatments beyond this period will require authorization through ICBC and a Doctors note.


Cost: Initial visit/assessment – no charge
Subsequent visits – $6 for a 30 minute treatment.

Why does Avita charge $6 per subsequent visit, when some clinics do not? The reason is that Avita does 30 minute one on one appointments with our Physiotherapists in order to get the best possible outcomes. Many other clinics either spend less time with patients, or they see multiple patients at the same time.


Cost: Initial visit/assessment - $32
Subsequent visits – $16 per visit.

Massage Therapy

Cost: Initial visit/assessment: The Initial visit cost is covered by ICBC
Subsequent visits: $30.50 for 60 minute appointments. At Avita we exclusively book 60 minute ICBC massage therapy appointments. This allows our Practitioners more time to focus on your condition and treatment plan. Our goal is to get you back to health as quickly as possible.

In the event that you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or you miss your appointment, we cannot bill your extended plan or ICBC. You will be responsible for the full cost of the appointment. This also applies if your Claim or Extended Benefits Provider deny payment. You will also be responsible for the full cost of the appointment. Thank you.
